TO DESCRIBE THE TREND/ MOVEMENT
In general, the sales
of multivitamins show a steady decrease from first quarter to third quarter.
Sales declined from the highest 900 bottles to 700 bottles from first
quarter to second quarter in 2010. Sales then continued to fall to 550
bottles in the third quarter in 2010 and remain unchanged at 550 bottles
in forth quarter .
Conversely, sales in
vitamins C supplement showed an upward trend in 2010. From the lowest,
300 bottles in first quarter, sales rose to 400 bottles in second
quarter, then continued to grow
to 600 bottles in third quarter. It then increased and recorded
the highest sales of 950 bottles in
fourth quaters of the year.
On whole, the total
sales of multivitamins was higher than vitamins C at 2700 bottles and 2250 bottles
respectively.
In conclusion, the
rise of sales of vitamins C is in contrast to the drop of trend of multivitamins sales in 2010.
