Limo’s annual car sales in 2012

Limo’s annual car sales in 2012
The line chart shows the number of two different type of limo sales in month on 2012. Whereby the table below shows the price of petrol in RM and all four quarter in 2012.  In general, the increase of petrol price effected the sales of 2000cc cars in 2012 however; there was a rise demand on 1300cc cars due to the decrease sales of 2000cc cars.
Sales of 2000cc cars rose from 4500 to the highest 5000 units from January to March. It dropped drastically to 2000 units in June. The increase in petrol price for the corresponding period from RM2 to RM2.50 may have caused the dramatic drop in sales of 2000cc cars.
However, its sales climbed steadily from June to September, from 2000 to 3000 units respectively. Sales then remained constant at 3000 units until December. This trend might due to the fell in petrol price from third quarter to fourth quarter, from RM 2.30 to RM2.20.
1300cc cars sales decreased from 3000 to the lowest 2000 units from January to March then climbed significantly to 6000 units in August. Sales of 1300cc cars peaked in October at 6500 units and reach a plateau until December. The steady increase sales in 1300cc cars could be due to the drop in the demands of 2000cc for the corresponding period, result of petrol increase.
In conclusion, the unstable price of petrol affected the sales of 2000cc cars in 2012. The irregular price did not affect the sales of 1300cc cars in 2012

Tertiary education determines a person’s success in life

Sample essay: partial agreement
Question
“Tertiary education determines a person’s success in life”
Suggested answer
In this globalised world, tertiary education is believe to be prerequisite and ticket to a better future. Student and working adult alike have always dreamed about graduation from university and enjoying the privilege of better return and perks. This has caused many pursue university education, believing that it guarantees a more promising life. I partially agree that tertiary education determines a person’s success in life. This is because tertiary education contributes to success, our determination; personal interest and goal in life also have irrefutable impact on our achievement.
Firstly, tertiary education alone without the determination to press in toward achieving our goals in life may not be sufficient to steer us toward. Without doubt, that persistence is akin to keep the oil lamp lit. Without a clear vision of what we want to be and do, university education will just go down the drain as some graduates have been known to refuse employment due to their easy going attitudes and their plain idleness that makes them lethargic in their pursuit foe a better life. One may argue that some successful figure like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs may be colleges’ dropout but they made in life. However, most of us forget that these two geniuses had strong determination and unique gift that they knew they could embark on. Proven that they are among those who contributed to the advancement of technology, which has made life easier than ever. Although university education does, to an extent, determine a person’s success in life as it enable one to discover interest, chart his future and equip oneself with specialised skill to secure a permanent job, one’s determination to succeed is one undeniably superior prerequisite for a successful life.
Secondly, personal interest also matters more than just the idea securing a university degree. The saying that man shall not live by bread alone is relevant for all times. The knowledge one acquires during his studies allows him to map out his own future. Abraham Lincoln, despite coming from a poor and humble family, rose from a simple country boy to be brilliant lawyer and then president of the United States. He accomplished all this not just through his hard work and struggle but also his strong education knowledge background. Bill Gates and Steve Jobs left college when they found that tertiary education was uninspiring and a waste of precious time. Instead, they took courageous step quitting collage and pursuing their interest. They proved that personal interest help realise their dreams in doing what they love the most and could best deliver. Their success stunned their lectures who later commended them for generating easier dissemination of information and communication. Indeed, their success has become the talk of the town for many decades and even today, they are highly honoured for their persistence and hard work, derived from their strong personal interest in computers and drive to prove themselves.

EXAMPLE ESSAY
TV ADVERTISING TODAY IS HARMFUL FOR YOUNG CHILDREN

Advertisements are now considered an essential tool to disseminate information and spread advertising opportunities to different group of people through print noticed and other electronic media such as via television (TV), radio, social media and others. it is unquestionable that advertising has become very much a part of modern life today. In almost everything we do, we are constantly bombarded by advertising. Its is hard to escape from the influence of advertisements. Teenagers and young adults are becoming easy prey as they are quite vulnerable to the advertisements that they exposed to. However, I strongly believe that today television does not effect young children's growth.  In fact, advertising has helped in their physical and mental development. Poor parenting is to blame and not advertisement itself whereby parents must train and educate children about healthy eating habits, smart consumerism ethics and product awareness.
First and foremost, parents must educate their children on healthy eating habits. Poor parenting techniques are to blame for children's bad eating habits. Children's inclination to eating more junk food and fast food at regular interval has become a norm, even with their parent's consent.Television advertisements may have influence over children choice of food as they easily captivated by advertisements that promotes various food item that are usually detrimental to health as they contain colouring and ingredients  that can trigger health risk if over consumed. For instance, young children do not mind consuming burger stuffed with their favourite sausage and mayonnaise or thousand island cream. Despite, this influence has come from television advertisements captivated children to unhealthy food habits. This is especially, when children sit watch television all by themselves without monitor by their parents. This aggravates as they get to be easily influence by most of the advertisements they watch. Nevertheless, parents must not forget taht it is their duty to educate their children on healthy eating, healthy living and  practise a good eating habits by set good examples so that their children can emulate then from an early age and instil within themselves the important and awareness of consuming healthy food. They will then reap the harvest of enjoying a better quality of life by consumption of healthier and nutritious food. Healthy eating also mean healthy living ahead. Health is wealth.
Secondly, parents should also educate their children on smart consumerism as this helps protect children from captivated in television advertisements. Advertisements have, in many ways, promoted products that seemingly assure healthy living condition. In reality, most product that are advertised have their own propaganda of capturing market pie with wide range of consumer products. Children, being children need to be taught how to optimize the value of money they spend. Parents must always involve their children when shopping and this will tremendously reinforce smart shopping and consumerism practices. One is to teach them to prepare a shopping list before actual shopping is done.   This will help reduce the tendency and probability of unnecessary purchases that may just burn a deep holes in one pocket. the temptation to put everything into the cart is always at play and being young and naive, children have the tendency of buying everything that please their eyes. although,at time they can be allowed to splurge on their food and toys, they should know that their have consumer rights to bargain for and receive quality products as advertised. Hence, equipping with necessary knowledge will keep them well informed and not being easy prey to unscrupulous business proprietors
